The Apache ActiveMQ team is proud to announce the release of Apache ActiveMQ 5.9.0.
This release addresses over 200 issues and introduces some significant improvements

Judging from the awareim.conf, Aware uses activemq 5.8.0.

I've downloaded the new 5.9.0 (activemq-all-5.9.0.jar) and replaced the old one (rename the file first) found in the AwareIM/Tomcat/lib/ folder.

Just the benefit of having an updated, less buggy version. Perhaps some things are processed more efficiently under the hood.
