Is it possible to direct the output of a START PROCESS action within a rule to a particular content panel?

I'll ask another way - How might output (from a query or VIEW action) be directed to a specific content panel?

Hi,
You can create a layout in your visual perspective and include whatever panels you want to show. Hide the layout by putting something in the "Condition when invisible" like 1=1. This will ensure that the layout only shows when you want it to.

Add a process/rule wherever you want it to call that layout:

DISPLAY LAYOUT 'NameOfYourLayout' FROM_VP NameOfYourVP

Thanks for your help with this pbrad.

It might be part of the solution.

As I am in need of making sure that not only is it displayed, but the form that I am trying to display in that panel is refreshed when the user clicks a button. (I have the button stuff all working) It is just trying to direct the output of a VIEW action that is taking in the current context (e.g. a FIND this....) from a rule.

I'm thinking the ideal scenarios might be:

be able to pass the VIEW action the target panel name
be able to define a target panel name in a form
be able to use a variable in the Advanced text such as config.RenderTo = '{target_panel_name}'

But I am trying to find any workarounds given the above don't seem possible.

One for support maybe, but I've often thought it would be good to be able to say VIEW (or EDIT) ..... Using..... Into [ContenPanel]

Meant to add ... This as an alternative to the form appearing in a modal window with its restriction on triggering processes unless we create html form buttons.

Would add so much flexibility
