Standard Query Cannot See Attribute of Referenced BO ?

Hi
One of the attributes of a business object references the attribute of another business object. It displays as a drop down. In Access I would call this "other" business object a lookup table.

I want to show the main BO as an editable grid. Seems the only way this can be done is via a query. But when I do, the referenced attribute is not available in the choice of attributes.

Please help.

create attribute(s) of type "shortcut" in the top level BO and point it to the attribute(s) in the referenced BO that you want to appear in the grid
