Active processes?

Hi all,
Just wondering regarding active processes. I have a couple of scenarios where users might not "behave" like I want and just close the browser and when the actual step where they close the browser is part of a process, then the process remains active in the system.

For how long is the process active?
Will the process eventually cancel by itself?
Is it possible to cancel processes automatically after x time?

If a process is doing some job on the server, then there is no time limit - it will continue to run as long as it needs. However, if the process communicates with the user and waits for the user's response, it will be suspended and will time out if the response is not received within a certain time (30 min, I think).

You can cancel a process through the Active Processes functionality but not all processes can be cancelled.

Thanks, so I guess having a couple of processes waiting for user response and eventually timing out is not a big deal?

Regarding the timeout etc. setting, I don´t know if these processes that remain active in the system actually use server/system capacity in any way but it would be a good thing to have a "cancel process after x" setting for each process for those processes where this might happen.
