Now, how do you use it. Specifically, what is the format of the URL used to call the service.

I created a service and selected "REST support" and tried several URLs to call the service. All attempts received: The requested resource ... is not available.

Please read the explanation in the How To document (the User Guide should refer to it).

We do not plan to consume REST-ful services. It seems impossible. There is no standard for REST that can be "discovered" (like in SOAP WSDL)
