The most likely explanation for this problem (and it's likely to happen to many) is that the URL you use to start Aware IM is not suitable for Zoho editing.
In order for Zoho to be able to SAVE documents (as opposed to just view) your Aware IM URL must be accessible from remote servers (such as Zoho servers). So automatically localhost will not work, nor will any URL's with raw IP addresses. Also, if you use some port it may be accessible when you use it locally, but not accessible if this URL is used remotely.
Also check out the Tomcat output - it displays the URL that Zoho will use when it saves the document in Aware IM.
