Query Grouping

There must be something I don't know about grouping. I select an attribute to group by, and while the display groups by the selected attribute, there are multiple instances of the grouping. I tried setting the sort order to the grouping attribute, but I still have the issue. What might I be missing?

Are the multiple instances on 1 page?

I think this is a misunderstanding with the person reporting it. My test database had inadequate data to test.

One little annoyance - If you have your query set to - say - 20 items per page, and you have 15 of group 1 and 10 of group two, group 2 will only say 5 in the group on page 1 and there will be a continuation on page 2 which says 5 in the group.

Is this what yr man is seeing?

Thanks. That's good information but I believe I've resolved this to satisfaction for now.
