href link in outgoing email

Trying to include an href html link in an outgoing email. The link I want to send is stored in LoggedInSystemUser.URL_for_email

Can someone share their experience here?

I'm not sure if I this is what you are after but one such link would be formatted like so:

<a href="<<LoggedInSystemUser.URL_for_email>>"</a>

Hi,

We send many emails with links within. We use HTML documents as HTML messages inside notifications triggered by a process. One such example is below where a link to the portal login is offered:

Please <a href="<<SystemSettings.BaseURL + `/logonOp.aw?domain=` + DOMAIN()>>" target="_blank">login</a> your portal to accept it !

Got it to work. The issue was actually because the link I built did not have http:// in front of it. Email servers (both Gmail and MS Exchange) were filtering out the link and not displaying it.

When the link stored in LoggedInSystemUser.URL_for_email is in the format:
awareim.domain.com:8080/AwareIM/logonOp.aw?e=EncryptedStringHere

the proper syntax in the email is:
<a href="http://<<LoggedInSystemUser.URL_for_email>>">Click here to edit event</a>

Of course, if http:// is in the value stored in <<LoggedInSystemUser.URL_for_email>>
this syntax should work:
<a href="<<LoggedInSystemUser.URL_for_email>>">Click here to edit event</a>
