Is there a difference of when to use either for getting the LoginName of a user?

LoggedInSystemUser is used when you want to include all users in ANY of the BOs in the SystemUser BO group.

LoggedInRegularUser is just one of the BOs in the SystemUser group.

So, if you are trying to get the name of the logged in user no matter which BO they are a member of, use LoggedInSystemUser.

I still don't get it. Can I not also get the name of LoggedInRegularUser? So the distinction to me is unclear.

LoggedInSystemUser encompasses and refers to any object that is in the SystemUser group whereas LoggedInRegularUser refers only to the specific object RegularUser.

In the case where RegularUser is the only object in the object group SystemUser, there is no difference whether you use LoggedInSystemUser or LoggedInRegularUser.
