Dynamic Refreshing of Reference Table

I have the following...

Parent BO call Booking
Child Referenced BO called Flights

In Booking I have an Attribute called Solution which is displayed as a Radio button with possible values of 1,2 or 3

Flights has an attribute called Solution.

When I display a booking, I have a Reference Table at the bottom of the screen which is intended to show the Flights for the selected Booking.Solution in the Radio button. It uses a filter based on the value of the Booking.Solution.

ie Flight.Solution=Booking.Solution

At the moment, when I select a different Solution number I have to save the form for the reference records to change.

I have set up a trivial process that gets called by a dynamic rule that get executed when I change Solution and have screen refresh set to be done when that process gets executed but still it will not dynamically refresh the Referenced Table.

Can anyone please suggest a way to force the refresh as soon as I change the Solution radio button selection?

Based on a couple of posts on the forum, I think this is a limitation. Reference table cannot be updated/changed dynamically.

What if you tick the "Save form when selection changes" on the Solution attribute.

Only due to the lag while it saves the form Tom.

It's a good 3-4 seconds.

I agree, sometimes the Auto Save of the form is cumbersome. It would be more elegant for the refresh to take place by way of something like an Ajax call where only the component is refreshed with the new items

I think the only refresh that can take place is if the current items in the list changes, but it sounds like you are replacing them.

By the way, there is a bug with the way references refresh when using a pop up form from the reference. The reference fails to refresh when the pop up is closed. Support said they would look at this in the new year. But I don't think this has anything to do with what you want

Also, you may want to use a different concept to get your reference items displaying automatically by using DISPLAY LAYOUT. If you split the layout in two sections, you could update the Flight details in the bottom section of the Layout when changing the Solution in the top section. This should happen dynamically if "Target panel" is set correctly
