How to compress size of box that surrounds a group box

I have a multi-column layout, and have added a group box around 3 attributes. I would like to adjust the width and height of the box that surrounds the attributes in the box, as the column is running into the next column (area shaded yellow that is the dividing lines between the 2 columns).

Although there are height and width inputs for the group box, they only apply to the attributes inside the box, and not the box itself.

How can I shrink the size of the drawn box?

Have you tried specifying the width and height px in the Group Box area?

I did - that just shrinks and expands the controls inside the box, not the box itself

not sure what you mean. The form is 1000 px wide, with 3 columns. the columns are sized as a percentage width - Ex. 35,35,30

I remove the width setting for the form, and got the same results. The drawn group box border always takes 100% of the column width. As I had posted before, setting the width of the group box affects only the controls inside the group box, and not the group box border.

Seems like a bug to me.

Any idea if this will be looked at?

It looks really messy if the form contains 2 or more columns and group boxes in each column. They occupy 100% of the column width making the borders of the group box touch.

The outside width of the group box cannot be specified as the setting changes the inner groupbox space.
