QUERY: Internal error. Error reading business object.

Error Message when query is run:

Internal error. Error reading business object. Unknown column 'myObject.Name' in 'field list'

'Name' attribute the error is referring to do does not exist within the object.
The query is for a BO Group with 3 objects in the group.

The BOs in the group have a shortcut to BO.Customer.Name. When the query parameter ORDER BY is set (eg ORDER BY BOgroup.Customer_NameSC) the error appears.
If the ORDER BY is not set, the query executes fine without any errors.

I seems that the business object group queries are not reading the shortcuts properly.

It's a known issue - don't use shortcuts in ORDER BY for queries on groups.

I must have missed this in Appendix B #11, but, I think that the workaround stated in Appendix B #11 using a shortcut also does not work.

Problem/Limitation Description - Appendix B #11
11. Sorting on reference attributes in a query will not work if query searches business object group.

For example, sorting in the following query will not work if Account is business object group:
FIND Account ORDER BY Account.Owner.Name

Define a shortcut attribute and sort by it, for example:
FIND Account ORDER BY Account.OwnerNameSC
Where OwnerNameSC is the shortcut to Account.Owner.Name

The BOs in the group have a shortcut to BO.Customer.Name. When the query parameter ORDER BY is set (eg ORDER BY BOgroup.Customer_NameSC) the error appears.

I'am using a shortcut, not a BO.CustomerREF.NameATR
The Error message also appears when using shortcuts.

FIND Account ORDER BY Account.Owner.Name works in non-BOgroup queries.

Workaround - Appendix B #11
Define a shortcut attribute and sort by it, for example:
FIND Account ORDER BY Account.OwnerNameSC
Where OwnerNameSC is the shortcut to Account.Owner.Name

Unless I'm reading it incorrectly, your workaround in the user guide states that ORDER BY shortcuts for business object groups should work.
