java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

I have created an invoice as a report in AwareIM. The invoice header is an image that is stored in a file.

When I run the report on small invoices all is fine. However when the invoice has a large number of invoicelines, i get the following error:

Execution Exception after starting process INV_View_Invoice message Error filling report ../DocTemplates/BASTestDomainRBB_1.20/DocTemplates/162/162/06779394227956339_RDDoc6079484877142094899.rdd java.lang.IllegalArgumentException Width (-1) and height (-1) cannot be <= 0

So it looks like there is a memory problem somewhere. I have experimented with many AwareIM memory settings, but nothing made it work. Are there any other (Java) settings that I can try, or does anyone know how to overcome this?

Check your report design, on the sub-report section. Give more with and height , I don't think it is a memory issue.

Thanks for the tip, but that is not the cause. If I replace the image from the database with a fixed image the report is working normally.

What are you settings and how much memory have your server ? If you can put 512 Mb everywhere and restart /retry.

If you´re using Java 32, try 1000,500,500 ie. do NOT exceed 2gb in total and then try your task again. No sure if it will have effect, I remember reading something in a forum thread (somewhere) about not exceeding 2gb because it could create memory problems. Again I am not sure about this and other developers that remember the thread/issue i´m talking about, please chip in.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it with the settings you recommended, but unfortunately the problem remains.

This has nothing to do with memory, but rather with some element inside your report. The system ends up creating an element with negative width and height. So see if you can find anything suspicious in your report design.

Hi Support,

I've checked everything and can't find any strange element. Besides, the report has been running for years with a fixed banner. All i did was change the banner to come from a file rather than a picture directly in the report. Even with the picture in the file the report runs as normal, except when the invoice has many lines.
