CSV only importing singular LineItems

I have a CSV that contains Bookings and BookingLineItems.

I'm importing into the Bookings object. I've set one attribute as a primary key so that when I import there's only one Booking. So far, so good.

But if there are 12 BookingLineItems it only pulls in one. Any ideas? They have different attributes and there's only one primary key set for Bookings, nothing on BookingLineItems. Any ideas?

Have you looked at the logs?

The logs claim that the records were created. When I do a search for BookingLineItems seperately, they don't show up.

Ah HA!

The Issue (date attribute) is not being pulled in and seeing as all the other attributes are the same, they're showing as one.

My problem now is getting the correct date format in my CSV. For some reason, it's not pulling the dates in.

The date format is set to MMMM yyyy in the attribute but I can't match it in my CSV. I've tried setting it to text fields and date fields and it doesn't seem to be working.

I'll keep trying various options.

Ok, that's definitely the problem.

My date cell won't pull in. I've tried changing both, setting it to yyyy-mm-dd in both but nothing seems to be working. Anyone have experience pulling dates in from CSV import?

Further on this issue:

My dates are set in my attribute as MMMM yyyy, as mentioned. So in my CSV they are set to a custom date field of MMMM yyyy. No joy on import.

BUT

When I change to the linked attribute in my template, ie: to a text field, bang, it generates 12 different line items.

On the data in the csv, try setting date to dd/mm/YYYY and see if that works

I tried setting:

• my csv to dd/mm/yyyy
• my date attribute value to dd/mm/yyyy
• setting the import value of the attribute from default to date on the template
• tried various date settings

What's strange is that the BookingLineItems are inside a Booking and the Booking pulls in a date which works just fine. (dd/mm/yyyy format) It seems to only be the dates within the BookingLineItems.

It's driving me mad because this is the final hurdle in my project and there's no way I am manually inputting 500+ Bookings and their individual lineitems.

are you using 2 BO's or 1?

if you are using 2 BO's then you will need 2 CSV import files, 1 for your Bookings (which you should import 1st) and then a 2nd for your BookingLineItems which you would import next and have a column that "relates" each BookingLineItem to a Booking eg something like BookingLineItem.BookingLINK.BookingNumber

Tried that, date still not pulling in correctly.
