Wish List - Time_Part function

I would like a function similar to DATE_PART which gives the time part of a Timestamp attribute say in HH:mm format.

What if you combine the the HOUR & MINUTE functions to get the TIME_PART.

Example;

1x Date Attribute
2x Timestamp Attributes

User entered values:
Object.Date (date)
Object.Time - (timestamp) format HH:mm

Calculated Result (timestamp):
Object.DateTime - format dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm

Rule:
If Object.Date IS DEFINED AND Object.Time IS DEFINED Then
Object.DateTime=TIMESTAMP(DAY_OF_MONTH(Object.Date), MONTH(Object.Date), YEAR(Object.Date), HOUR(Object.Time), MINUTE(Object.Time))

By the way, does anyone know how to show AM/PM next top the time when 'display time separately' option is checked. Is it possible?

I too would like to see TIME_PART function.

I have tried to combine HOUR and MINUTE functions with not much success. At best its a bit cumbersome as I have to utilise 3 attributes to kind of get this to work!

Ok so I feel a little foolish now.... :oops:

After a little more tinkering and experimentation I released I could achieve what I needed by doing the following:

Had the existing attribute called: Appointment.StartTime
Type: Timestamp
Format: dd/mm/yyyy HH:mm

Create a new attribute called: Appointment.Time
Type: Timestamp
Format: HH:mm

Create the following rule:
Appointment.Time=Appointment.StartTime

Now I have just the time part as I wanted and can do what I need with it including being able to display and edit on forms!

Not sure if this is what others in this post require? I suppose in having a TIME_PART function it would eliminate the need for an additional attribute,

Yep in AwareIM there are always several ways to do things! Just would be nice in processes to have such a function and I'm sure its not too difficult for the great AwareIM team!
