Initial value tag/number?

Hi all,
I am trying to use the initial value function of a attribute and use a tag expression to populate the initial value and it seems as thought this works for plain text attributes but not number attributes?

I have a "User" BO and a attribute called "MemberNo" and the "MemberNo" is populated/calculated automatically by Aware IM when a new user is created. I then have a "Note" BO with a "Owner" attribute and i want to use the "MemberNo" number from the "User" BO as the ID/owner of the "Note" BO and therefore i am trying to use a tag expression to have Aware IM populate the "Note" / "Owner" attribute with the "User" / "MemberNo".
The tag expression i am trying to use is <<LoggedInSystemUser.MemberNo>> , and when i try to use this tag expression Aware IM gives me a inconsistency error and telling me that the "MemberNo" attribute cannot be found. If i do the exact same thing but instead use this expression <<LoggedInSystemUser.FirstName>> , everything works.

Has anyone experienced this and can verify (and possible explain?). Thanks

Update. I tried another plain text attribute and that didn´t work either? Is it only e.g. first/last name attributes that can be used in a tag expression like this? (can this be because the tag expression refers to a attribute in the system user group?)

I managed to figure this out by using the "LoggedInSystemUser.LoginName" as the "Owner" attribute (populated automatically by Aware IM through tag expression) instead of MemberNo (loginname is always unique so it should work). Now i wonder, should i leave it as is so each new BO instance gets this information (logged in users loginname) as its initial value or have a rule that populates the attribute e.g. only when the BO instance is new?

Again, I am a little unclear at what you are trying to achieve but have you thought about just defining a relationship between the user and the object and then the user.memberid would be exposed as a shortcut in any related object?

I could be wrong but it sounds as if you are coming at this a little awkwardly. If you would like to elaborate on what you are trying to achieve as opposed to how you are trying to achieve it, we might be able to offer you an easier and faster route to achieving your end goals.
