Close a tab using a process

Is it possible to close an open tab using a process?

I have a form that opens in a new tab so that the business object displayed can be edited. I have various operations that can be run from the form. One of those operations takes some of the data from the attributes of the business object / instance displayed and puts them into a different business object. Once this information has been passed across, the process continues to delete the instance being displayed.
The trouble I have is that once the instance is deleted the form remains in the open tab and if the user clicks on save, a message pops up to say it no longer exists in the system (rightly so as it has been deleted!). What I would like to do is close the tab and form as part of the process so that the user doesn't have to close the form manually. Is this somehow possible?

Try adding a process to the AutoRefresh options of the form - this way the form should refresh after the process finishes and it will probably close itself when it detects that the underlying object has been deleted

Hi Support,

I've tried this now but it doesn't close the form, it displays the error message as above and then the user still has to close the message and the form manually.

Any other ideas?

Strange. It should have closed the form...

Another option is to show something else in the tab in this process rather than close it...

We show a vp with some HTML saying 'you can now close this tab'
