alternate approach to MS word document template

I am having a problem creating MS word document templates in 64 bit, and I have logged a post in the problem section.

My question now is, is there an alternate approach to using MS Word Document templates?

I wish to email a "Summary" report that reads like a document, listing attributes from top to bottom, and some text. This is not a typical banded report - there are no groups, subtotals, etc. It is just textual information. I know how to email - just looking for recommendations on whether I should even be tryingf to use the MS Word document template for this.

Thanks, I will try to put the "jacobs" in the right places.

Other than that .dll stuff, do you think MS Word doc templates are the best approach for this type of thing?

Or is there a less "dependent" approach?

Word works great for me. See my post (and in particular my final post in response to Gabitas at the end..
