Web Service / SOAP Import data

Hello Forum!

I have access to a web service:
http://www.rastrea.net/Web%20Services/utrax.ws_kosmos/

The provider URL is:

http://www.rastrea.net/Web%20Services/utrax.ws_kosmos/ws_kosmos.asmx?WSDL

user: carlos.castillo@lineacero.net
password: sridemo

I have made the conexion, but I dont know how to store the results in a BO or Table.

I saw the Web services videos (Good videos) but dont know how to downlod this data in particular.

Any help will be great.

What specific problems are you having?

You need to discover the service first. This will create objects representing parameters and reply of the service. Then you need to write a process that will create the instances of the parameters, call the service and use the reply, for example:

CREATE Param1
CREATE Param2
REQUEST SERVICE ...
DISPLAY MESSAGE 'Reply is: ' + ReplyObj.ReplyText

hello!

I was trying this in version 5.2 and now Im trying this in version 5.6. Now it creates me a new BO. This BO has the name of all the fields offered by the service.

It created a BO: "ArrayOfInfoLastPosition"

I still trying this methods.

CREATE GetLastPositionParam

CREATE ArrayOfInfoLastPosition

REQUEST SERVICE GetLastPosition OF GPS

ENTER NEW GetLastPositionParam WITH GetLastPositionParam.User='carlos.castillo@lineacero.net',GetLastPositionParam.Password1='sridemo'

DISPLAY MESSAGE 'ok'

So far its what I got, but I still cannot download data.

Most probably you need to initialise the parameter objects properly as the service expects - you need to read the documentation about the service. We have no idea what this service does and what it is for.

And when you are saying that you cannot do something what do you mean? Any error messages?

Please use 5.6 - it has a much better support for web services

Well So far I got this:

The web service called: GetLastPosition
this webservice shows the last position of a truck fleet. (coordinates) I want to have access to this data and store it in a BO.

To create the conection I did this:

1.- Created a BO (intelligent) called "GPS"

2.- Selected SOAP, and place the link: http://www.rastrea.net/Web%20Services/utrax.ws_kosmos/ws_kosmos.asmx?WSDL

3.- -Click "Discover" and got the name of the service, "parameter" and "reply" fields

4.- This created 2 BO. "ArrayOfInfoLastPosition" and "InfoLastPosition"

Created a PROCESS

1.- If COUNT GPS=0 Then CREATE GPS

2.- ENTER NEW GetLastPositionParam WITH GetLastPositionParam.Password1='sridemo',GetLastPositionParam.User='carlos.castillo@lineacero.net'

3.- REQUEST SERVICE GetLastPosition OF GPS

4.- CREATE InfoLastPosition FOR EACH ArrayOfInfoLastPosition

I got an error: "service provider returned the following error: Service GetLastPosition was not found"

I have been using the website: http://www.rastrea.net/Web%20Services/utrax.ws_kosmos/ws_kosmos.asmx?op=GetLastPosition and it does returns data.

Hello!

Well I did fix it but using php code. Awareim is a great tool, but I have in hand a php programmer, so kind of everything gets fixed that way. Also the webservice provider has some issues, so php, php.
