I make extensive use of the report designer and I have some reports with 20 or so embedded reports. I think I know this beast pretty well. One issue I can't seem to get past though...
It seems that the report engine does not have a very good sense of when to paginate.
If I place an attribute of pure text that will span a few pages, the "bottom" of the page tends to go up about 10 points with each page. It gets to a point where it prints about half of the page then throws a page break.
At design time, I've tried using the absolute minimum amount of vertical space by reducing the height of items to 1 pt. No help.
I've tried setting the band heights so that the sum of each is exactly equal to the page height. No luck.
Can anyone confirm? I'd like to know if I'm just not doing something as intended. If there are any tricks to the report settings, please let me know.
