Aware IM Presentation Layer (GUI)

Is it possible to put a completely customized Presentation Layer on top of an aware IM application. I.e. So that it looks like any Normal website but with Aware IM as the underlying architecture. Thus, I want to know if I can design a website in an HTML editor And then layer that on top of an aware IM application we built so that I can call processes and run queries, and display information form the database but in my own presentation format?

Has anyone ever done something like this If it is possible? Can you perhaps show me an example of such a site that was created using Aware IM as the underlying architecture?

Yes you can but I will be a kind of double-work as you will have to inject all the AwareIM processes inside your HTMl instead of having it generated by the system...

Do You perhaps have any examples of where someone actually accomplished this? The reason is we want to create a system with a much more modern Look and feel but with Aware IM Backend for the processing.

A better approach might be to focus on creating your own custom theme, CSS etc. I think its possible to do quite a lot customization. Look for example at this post for an example of custom buttons:

There are companies that focus on Sencha / Ext JS theme development and they could possible create a theme for you 100% after your own specifications.

An example of this is Aware IM's own presentation layer.

Take a look at the file AwareIM/Tomcat/webapps/AwareIM/aware_ext/aware_full.js

This file contains the complete Javascript code of the Aware IM presentation layer. You need to know Javascript, XML and Sencha library in order to understand what's going on.

You have the option to install the php version of the theme in your web server ( because it's complicate to run PHP files in Tomcat same time ), the database config file of that theme will plugin to the AwareIm database, so the datas will be the same as your app.
An other easier way is to use the html version of the theme and integrate it into your app. As AwareIm can inject datas into html pages and exports documents you will have a nice design and datas/functions form your app.
It requires lot of work but ad you have seen the result is a state of the art application..
