Conditionally Display Attribute

I have a BO with 3 Attributes, Attr1, Attr2, Attr3

Depending on the Value the user enters into Attr1, they need to
enter data into either Atrr2 or Attr3. So I only want to show Attr2 or
Attr3 on the screen (in the same location)

I can switch Attr2 and Attr3 on or off depending on the value in Attr1 by using the READ PROTECT function.

The problem is that in either case I need to calculate a value for the non displayed attribute. However, READ PROTECT prevents this from being possible.

Is there a way to just prohibit the display of an Attribute but not prohibit the changing of it?

Also, part of the same issue....it there any way to conditionally change the label of an attribute?

For example, depending on the value of some other attribute I want a label to display either "Start Day" or just "Date".

Hi,
An easy method would be to bundle your attributes inside two conditionally visible separator rows. That way you don't have to protect any attributes, just hide them.

READ PROTECT BoName FROM ALL EXCEPT System
