Referenced Records in a Report Template

I have probably missed something in the Docs but cannot find any explanation
of this..

Imagine an Purchase Order report with Header and Order Lines.

I know how to do it as a built in report by inserting a Sub-Report.

However, if I am using, for example, an Excel template, how do I
designate in the Excel template which are the repeatable attributes for
the Order Lines.

Each time I try and add a referenced attribute I get errors.

Any hints here would be appreciated.

Hi Mark,

What are you trying to add a reference attribute to? What errors do you get?

If you are referring to a report & the reference attribute is not a Multiple Allowed item, you will need to use a shortcut.

Dear <<Customer.FirstName>>

We are pleased to inform you that this is your lucky day and you

Yours Sincerely,

etc etc.

No problem there. I get it.

However, now imagine there were a number of prizes...

To: <<Customer.Name>>
<<Customer.Address>>

Dear <<Customer.FirstName>>

We are pleased to inform you that this is your lucky day and you
have won the following prizes.

Prize Quantity Value Location
<<Winner.Prize.Desc>><<Winner.Quantity>><<Winner.Prize.Value>> <<Winner.Prize.Location>>

Yours Sincerely,

And there are, say 5 prizes.
How do you output the repeating lines.

Should be same for MS-Word and Excel.

In my previous environment we had
<<$!MG_BEGINREPEAT>>
<<$!MG_ENDREPEAT>>

Look in the User Guide for the LIST_TABLE function for complete details.

Support recently added LIST_TABLE_START & .._END functions to make it easier to control formatting.
