I always thought the use of a third party app to sync these local databases should only be used where the local databases were to be read only as the chance of creating multiple rows with the same primary key from each location would be to high . . . . unless AIM makes this impossible, which I don't think it will.
If this is purely for development fair enough use Navicat, it works great. Mysql does have replication and cluster services for a more robust solution but it comes at a cost and may be a mind F$#k to configure if you have no experience.
