Prompt for Password

If I would like to implement a "Supervisor Password" so that if for instance creating a sale and a discount needs to be applied, how would I initiate a prompt for a supervisor password? To allow editing discount amount for the Line Item?

An attribute with passoword could be created in the SystemSettings BO, but am not sure how I would call for a password prompt in a Process.

Any ideas/advice would be welcomed.

I think you are on the right track. You could make two attributes in SystemSettings or elsewhere. One is the password, one is the comparison.

Set the password in the database or however you like but provide no access to it except maybe by the admin.

Create a form to update the comparison password. Set the attribute to a password type if desired.

UPDATE SystemSettings USING MyForm
IF Password<>Comparison THEN
REPORT ERROR 'Error...'
ELSE
Do something....

That is an awesome idea utilising a Comparison attribute.

So I could create the Comparison attribute in a desired business object, if I want to edit a specified attribute it can check the Comparison attribute and then allow or prompt for "password"

When finished I could have a process to clear the Comparison attribute.
