Processing multiple rows in a query grid that has grouping

I have a simple query that returns a standard set of rows. The attributes listed are Status, Description and Due By date. I group by Status.

I have some Processes defined, above the list. I allow multiple rows to be processed.

It looks to me like you cannot process multiple rows when the query result list has Group By. Can anyone confirm whether that is true?
I am getting strange results that I can't explain.

Applying a process across groups in a query works fine for me.

I am grouping by Status, and the process updates Status. Could that be the cause of the problem.

For example, I have two status groups in the query results - A and B. If I check a row listed under group status A, and run a process that changes the status to B, the row will appear under group status B, but subsequent processing seems to think the status is still A.

Have you added the process to Auto Refresh in the Query?

I have. With further testing, a feature of the processes that aren't working is that they have IF conditions in them. If I take the IF condition out, it works fine.
