help with access level and imported data

Hi,

I have a problem that I don't know how to solve:

I have 2 BOs:

Member
Study

A member has several Study (studies) that he/she can create him self through the member perspective. The member has full access to Study BOs that has been created by him.
The system administrator can also create studies through the administrator perspective by importing files containing sudies that belong to members. It means that the system administrator is the creator of the studies and that the member does not have full acccess to the imported studies.
I would like to allow the member to have full access to their studies even when the administrator has created them.

How can I achive this?

You need to use protection rules - check out the User Guide for details. The rules allow you to specify any conditions under which the objects/attributes will be protected

I solved the problem by creating an attribute called "CreatedBy" in the Study BO which is updated by a rule when the BO is created. its value can be "admin" or the LoggedInMember.ID. The BO can be open for editing depending on "CreatedBy"value.
