Anybody know what IsDownTime actually does or is used for?

You can mark an appointment as being used for system downtime. This is what it is for.

Can you explain that a bit further support? Do you mean that a user therefore cannot book that time? Does it show as a blocked out time on queries and schedules?

At the moment the system only uses this flag in the User Defined Processes module (UDP) where it prevents people from scheduling a UDP in the time interval allocated for system downtime.

Outside of this module you can easily add support for this yourself, by displaying appointments with this flag in a special way and adding rules to disallow booking when this flag is on.
