Users see "Error processing output" message when t

My users see "Error processing output" message when they try and login (and it stops them logging in). I currently close Aware server and restart it to fix.

Any ideas what I should be looking at to fix this?

(there is nothing obvious in the logs)

There are several posts about this issue on the forum. Something happens in your network that changes communication through TCP/IP sockets. One of the causes is dynamic change of the IP address, but it's not the only one. So study the logs of your network around the time the error occurs.

Tom, can I ask, what did you actually provide your guys to solve this error?

I'm at a loss of what to tell the vps support guys other than "it's a network problem, it may be a dynamic change of IP (which shouldn't be occurring given its static), and I can still ping my site when it happens"

How did your guys solve the DNS issue? I would guess there some logging software I could install, but I don't know what I'm logging for.

Sorry I can't provide much guidance, Rod. Ours was an internal VPS .. one one of our own servers. Bottom line is that I did not let our IT support folks off the hook. I told them that nothing had changed recently in an AwareIM application any time recently so the issue had to be in the server configuration.

I'm really not sure how our IT support folks narrowed it down to a DNS issue. For solving, they actually hired Microsoft support who put a high level tech on it for over a day.
