Deployment - Tomcat seperate from Aware/JBoss

hi,

we were trying to find the documentation or settings where we can do the following

tomcat on one server
awareim/jboss on another server

we see the instructions about downloading but the instructions reference things like this

Question:

Which files in Tomcat must we edit to point at our AwareIM server?

the latest docs say this

Perform the steps described in section Error! Reference source not found. to
integrate the web server with Aware IM.

i think it is missing from the documentation
