How close is it now as I'm trying to work out when I put out my own apps new release out. I've been holding off waiting to see the wonderful new features but if its still a while away I wont wait for it.

We have decided to officially release the new version in early September, but it has been virtually completed already. If you want to play (or use) the version as it is now please send an e-mail to support@awareim.com and we'll let you know how to get it.

This update will have any improvements on using SSL connection with GMAIL and other mail servers!?

In my opinion this is a MUST have feature. I can't even find a Mail server in Brazil that permits connection without using SSL. So it forces me to use a third party application(stunnel) to do this.

I agree about SSL and love to see Aware more seamlessly handle SSL certificates. Even if the data is not 'private', passing user id and password via un-encrypted traffic is a significant security issue.
