Mail issues

Hi,

I have made an Aware app which sends emails. When I send an email to one person, it works fine.

If I send it to a group, Aware places the emailadresses in the BCC (undisclosed recepients).

After a lot of testing I found out that this mail mostly ends up in the recepients spam filter.

Is there an easy way to set a no-reply adres in the from field to solve this?

Why not just send individually, personally addressed emails to the group. They usually get through the spam filters that way

Because I use a list where I select multiple recipients.

As far as I know is there not a way to send mail with a loop construction to send it one-by-one??

If I'm misunderstanding your requirements, I apologise. Sending personalised emails to a group is built into AwareIM

Process 1
Pick one or more from [your bo] (where your BO is an intelligent BO with email set as the default channel)

Process 2 (has [your bo] set as process input for this process)
SEND yourmail TO yourBO

Yourmail - which is an outgoing email notification can have tags in the message area and the FromAddress attribute so could read

fromAddress. Initial value set to <<LoggedInSystemUser.EmailAddress>>

the message attribute could be set as an HTML type with something like "Dear <<yourbo.Firstname>>

Splitting the job into two processes provides the loop iteration that you are looking for whereas if process 1 and 2 were combined into one single process, everyone would get the mail but they would all be saluted "Dear [the first person in the list ]

Thanks for your help so far, but it is a different problem.

I you send only 1 mail, Aware will put the receivers emailadress in the 'To' section of the email.

If you send a mail to multiple recipients, Aware puts all the email adresses in the BCC.

The receiver get an email with the 'undisclosed recepients' . But that kind of emails end up the the recipients spam filter very often.

I want Aware to send the mail one-by-one and it has to use the To instead of the BCC

Hi Rob,

I use this facility almost daily where any authorised official of our club can send bulk emails to the entire membership. We never use the BCC attribute.

Can anyone else jump on here and confirm I'm not away with the fairies! ( It's been a stressful month but I'm not totally gaga yet.)

I can assure you the previously described methodology works in 5.3 and as far as I can remember has worked since at least 4.9 - when I first joined the happy band of AwareIM-ers
