Deleting an object with references

I have two objects A and B. A is referenced several times in B. The relationships are peer to peer with multiples not allowed. I want to delete all instances of A to refresh it from another data base. The process is run with administrator access. I'm not concerned with loss of references in B because I have processes to reestablish them. However, when I run the process to delete all of A I get the following error.

"Internal Error. Access to business object A is denied to system."

I have to delete all of B before I can delete all of A. B is much more difficult to refresh.

Suggestions?

Do any of your working processes PROTECT A FROM ALL ?

A number of attributes of 'A' are protected except for a particular user. However, I'm running the process from the 'administrator' perspective with full access. I can delete all of 'B' without losing the instances of 'A' that were referenced. Then I can delete all of 'A'. However I get that error trying to delete all of 'A' without having first deleted all of 'B'.

Try changing the protect rules to include all except XXX AND System.

I can try that easy enough. I would have thought 'administrator' and/or System would be automatically excepted.

either must be specified if using PROTECT FROM ALL

Thanks for the suggestions. It was easier to create a process that blanked the reference attributes in 'B'. Once that was done, the process to delete all of 'A' had no error message. The reference attributes in 'B' have not rules attached.

Even with the 'protect from all' rules on some 'A' attributes 'A' can still be deleted if 'B' is not present.
