Custom JAR function UPGRADE from version 5.x to 5.3 (TOMCAT)

Hello,

I just installed version 5.3 (windows) in my pc and everythings ok. Im importing my BSV from version 5.2 and I can do almost the same, but I cannot make my CUSTOM JAR function work. I notices some changes in the Tomcat folder, and would like to know what do I have to do to upgrade my custom funtion.

Hi Carlos,

The jar file now goes in C:\awareim\CustomJars. You may need to create the CustomJars folder the first time, but it does not get deleted on an AwareIM upgrade, so it and it's contents should remain between upgrades.

The setenv.bat and setenvClient.bat files now automatically access everything in the CustomJars file, so you no longer have to add the path to your jar files to those.

for custom functions, you still need to add
FunctionLibraryTranslator=javaapplication5.Translator
to the BASServer.props file.

Well, I was working yesterday on it and then I made it all again. I had to compile it with the version of javac in AwareIM 5.3 and compile it again to the new path. This time Tomcat/lib and not Tomcat/Shared/Lib as in the past.

Then, I replace it and worked.
