We have built a user forum, it records when a post is made and then displays the time since underneath it, like this:
0 days 1 hours 57 minutes ago
It looks great, but it only updates when the record is saved, I'm trying to think of ways to have it update when a user clicks on the topic to view it, so by the time it opens it is accurate. Any ideas?
(only thing I have come up with is a scheduled process running every 30 seconds to update the topic and reply BO, but this seems very server intensive for such a simple thing)
