process run by system

Hi all, I have a very simple audit rule which updates two fields anytime a record is save. Works perfectly, but I am considering adding some nightly UPDATE processes to keep a date based status field current. I was hoping to find a way to prevent this rule from firing if the change was a results of a process run by system. Any suggestions?

If it helps, here is the current rule

BO.UpdateDate=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP
BO.UpdateBy=LoggedInRegularUser.DisplayName

This raises an interesting question:

Is there a way for a process to know when a process is running from a schedule vs. running by a LoggedInSystemUser?

I would try a flag on systemsettings that my scheduled jobs turn on and off again whilst running. Then the BO rule says IF BO WAS CHANGED and systemsettings.flag is off then BO.UpdatedOn=currenttimestamp.
As long as your users aren't on the system when the scheduled jobs are running it will be ok. If they can be on then it wont work of course.
