We recently updated Java to 64 bit to allow us to allocate more memory to the AwareIM server. We use Windows 2008 with MySQL.
After doing this we noticed that an import process that took 36 to 42 minutes to run slowed down to 7 hours.
Prior to the memory change we had the following settings:
AwareIM - 1024
JBoss - 256
Tomcat - 256
We then change the setting to:
AwareIM - 2048
JBoss - 512
Tomcat - 512
Once we set the memory back to the original setting it returned to normal import time of 36 to 42 minutes.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue when increasing memory?
