Incoming email, add to BO based on tag in Subject or Message

Hi,

I'm trying to have incoming emails added to the corresponding BO based on a reference number available on the email subject :

incoming email subject = "IDTAG1234"
the rule should find the corresponding BO Account and add this incoming email to the Account.ReceivedEmailAccounts.

This rule works :
If ReceivedEmail.Subject CONTAINS 'IDTAG' Then
FIND Accounts WHERE Accounts.ID2=ThisReceivedEmail.Subject
CREATE ReceivedEmailAccounts WITH ReceivedEmailAccounts.Correspondent=Accounts,
ReceivedEmailAccounts.Subject=ReceivedEmail.Subject
ReceivedEmail.State='Read'

As you can see it only works if the email subject contains only the IDTAG, if someone sends an email with Subject: " about my Account number : IDTAG1234" it fails.
I've tried without success with ReceivedEmail.Subject ENDSWITH 'IDTAG' and ReceivedEmail.Subject STARTSWITH 'IDTAG'

Try using INDEX_OF function.

I made it work using CHARS_FROM_RIGHT function, I've created a field called "IDTAG" which is calculated and placed at the end of the email subject :

If ReceivedEmail.IDTAG STARTSWITH 'IDTAG' Then
FIND Accounts WHERE Accounts.ID2=ThisReceivedEmail.IDTAG
CREATE ReceivedEmailAccounts WITH ReceivedEmailAccounts.Correspondent=Accounts,
ReceivedEmailAccounts.Subject=ReceivedEmail.Subject
ReceivedEmail.State='Read'

Next step is to put a similar tag inside the email message and not only the subject 🙂
