tford Try this: PROTECT BO.CurrentText from ALL EXCEPT SYSTEM Then you can use a rule: BO.CurrentText=BO.Current.Text+BO.NewText
nlarson I've used similar rules to form summary fields which I used for a global 'quick search' But I never really considered the manner you have suggested Tom. It just gave me an awesome idea, so thanks!!
