Param passing thru URL

robleer

I want to display some data from Aware in other websites with an Iview.

But this page must not always show the same records.

So I want to call an Aware page, pass a parameter whitin the URL, then Aware runs the query with that parameter used.

For example: in a page called Audi cars, it shows Audi, in a page called Mercedes, it shows Mercedes cars a.s.o.

Is this possible?

Have you tried DISPLAY URL LoggedInRegularUser.URLtoDisplay

where URLtoDisplay is built by the system?

Hi Tford, No I want to do it otherwise

To give you an idea what I'm trying to achieve (not my real case, just an example):

From a website 'BuyMyCars.com' I want to call a public Aware page something like this:

http://www.myawareCarapp.com/AwareIM/PageWithCars?brand='Mercedes'

This shows a page with cars of the brand Mercedes.

In another part of my website I want to show Audi

http://www.myawareCarapp.com/AwareIM/PageWithCars?brand='Audi'

The awarepage which is calles has a query that finds cars but must use the 'brand' param to find the right brand, run the query and show the results.

I think you'll have to look at the "firstCommand" parameter in the User Guide. I will be interested to hear back what you are able to accomplish.

this is deep linking 101. I'm ready to need that feature yet, but at some point I would love to have it. allows inbound integration so easily.

this is the same issue I was looking into with facebook integration but I did not get very far as it was purely cool factor for me at this point in time.
