Hi,

Would it be an option if you could disable rules in a process?

And within the rules it would be nice if I could 'comment out' lines.

Something like:

PICK ONE OR MORE FROM Customers
// Send NotificationA to Customers
DISPLAY Customers

This would work great for debugging, testing a.s.o.

You can put 1=0 as a Condition of a rule to accomplish this.

This also allows you to click "Search Rules" to find items that you may have turned off for testing or debugging.

I do not understand this.

Can you give an example?

tford

IF 1=0 Customer.Amount=100

will NOT operate because 1 is not equal to zero.

When the condition is removed, it will work again:

Customer.Amount=100

Tom,

Your idea is a great workaround, but it would still be good to be able to totally disable both rules and scheduled items so they don"t fire into the logs when trying to debug.

I know we can delete scheduled items and paste them back in from an earlier version - but ticking a box is a whole lot quicker and easier.

This is a good wish list item for a future release.

Hi,
Given that many of us are paying to have items moved up the wishlist to the action list. Personally, I would rather see items like this that already have a totally workable solution be moved to the bottom of any wishlist in order to not make me pay to get ahead of them.

The wishlist section of this forum is basically unused(the last entry was almost a year ago), could I make a suggestion that we be able, motivated and focused to use the wishlist to add wishlist items and add our own ratings to each wishlist item so that the AwareIM team are able to receive valid feedback as to what is important to the user base.

The wishlist would, in no way, be an indication of intent to implement any of the wishes but it would give us a voice as to what we would all like. The wishlist could be sorted in descending order so that the most popular wishes would show at the top of the list. As I, among others, believe that tablets are going to be an important part of all of our future perhaps you might consider a mobile subsection of the wishlist.

Just a thought...
Cheers,
Pete

Perhaps even a Mobile Development section of the forums.

so they don"t fire into the logs when trying to debug.

Ironically, that's exactly why I like the 1=0 approach .. you CAN still see in the logs when the rule that's being evaluated is firing.

Pete,

I would echo your sentiments - both for a useable wish list and the future of tablets and Tom's suggestion of a separate section for mobile developments..

So vote = yes on both counts
