Query Grouping Sum

I have a query that I am Grouping by Client Name. At the end of each Group I want to show the Total Amount for all invoice Balance. Am I suppose to type something is this section - I check the Balance attribute and Choose SUM what should I do with this {values}.

How does grouping work with Sum?

Try not to change anything first - it should work with the default settings

I did not the value for all the attribute is show 0.00. the sum is not work.

Your settings should be:

Group by: Client Name

Display summary for each group: Checked

For Balance attribute:
Display summary: Checked
Calculation: Sum
Presentation: {Value}

I am grouping by Client Name
and I have the query exactly the way you suggested.

I also ad a Summary manually using <<SUM Invoice.BalanceDue>> and this summary work perfectly. but the Grouping Sum feature is show 0.00

If your settings are as I described, you might want to buy a support ticket.

I think there is a general problem with the application.

This is a sample from the Sample Application in AwareIM, I add the Group and Sum feature, look at all the value I believe there is something with the way the Sum calculate the value.

Looks like you are correct .. there seems to be a bug in displaying SUM amounts 1,000 and greater.

I will send an email to support with the steps to reproduce the issue.

I think the problem is in the format of the numbers. Try adding raw numbers and see how the result is correct.

All the format for my numbers is the same. If I use the SUMMARY option and manually type my formula it work. If you look at the sample. all the query with $0.00 does not work only the ones without the $.

If you look at the raw data in the Database and look at the way AwareIM is storing numbers you will notice the it does not store it the same way it is display. There should be a Currency Type. Currently if a number is enter as 100.00 the application will strip all the zeros after the decimal point.

There is another recent forum post about this. It has been reported to support with a sample BSV.
