Aware IM Development

Hi,

My company has recently bought "Aware IM Developer" and is looking into setting it up on a central server which will ease the development of the applications we plan on developing. But I have yet to find any reference on how to do this in the User Manual or online.

I get that you can just set up Tomcat the right way and have the router port forward to the local server, but that's more for the end-user, right? How about developing? How do developers get to use the configurator - is Remote Desktop the only way?

I develop on my iMac and export the bsv to the server.

But there's multiple developers in my company. What if we all make multiple changes to the published version - does the lead developer have to merge all the changes into one file to make it work?

If multiple developers are working in one bsv is quite dangerous, it should be very well documented...how would you remember all the changes ? You better have a good change log...

That's why we want a central server with people checking out the version that's edited (just as Aware IM Configurator works at the moment).

Now I've set up a server with the Aware IM Server software and successfully connected to it's Operational mode through the internet. How do I connect to it's Configurator mode? Is there a special way to configure my local Aware IM software as a client perhaps?
