Report Designer - need a tip for a footer pls

Can anyone help me with this?

Trying to get a footer that appears only on the LAST page of a multi page report AND is aligned with the BOTTOM of the page (i.e. it is true footer, so if the last page only takes up say 100 pix on the top half then the footer appears right at the bottom of that page)

The only way I know of is to make the footer a stand-alone report and embed it at the end of the main report. I haven't done exactly that, but I'm thinking it's an approach that should work.

question: what "band" should I put it in, the summary band? also, what size for the embed report, I usually just make my embedded reports as high as they need to be, so if the footer is 80 pix high the embed report would be 80 pix high - which I'm thinking would just put it in the middle of the last page?

You'll have to experiment, you'll have to put it in the footer band of the embedded report otherwise it will not print on the page bottom. It might not anyway for all I know. Let us know what works.

No luck so far, page footer puts it in all pages (not just the last page as desired), and summary puts it in the middle of the last page. So basically the same as before.

Any other ideas?

'Fraid not. I have sort of the opposite problem where I want to hide the footer on the first page. I have a recent post where support confirmed that you cannot evaluate PAGE_NUMBER to conditionally show/hide items. If you could, that would solve my issue and probably yours as well.

Never tried this but can't you just put your stuff in the summary section. I would have thought this would only appear at the end of the report?

Sorry - missed one of the posts. It puts summary at end of report not end of last page
