Example:
I have an appointment BO where each SERIES of an instance represents the preventative maintenance task schedule for one plant asset. I have many assets. Now a user sets up the SERIES (maintenance schedule) for each plant asset lets say for a period of one year. At the end of the year they wish to build the new years schedule for each asset. They have to edit each asset one by one, then edit one of the appointment BO instances within the SERIES, change the recurrence dates and SAVE the form so it rebuilds the schedule for that asset for the new year. They may have a 1000 assets which means hours of work.
Why not allow the dates to be changed for a apptrecur instance and then have a function REBUILD. This would allow developers to set up a process to find the relevant SERIES and automatically rebuild each series in the one process.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more information.
Also I can get the recurrence to work if I put an EDIT statement within a process. It appears to only work from the EDIT button on a form. I'm getting the error:
'unable to determine returned entity for recurrence'
