case sensitive drop down?

Hi, I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious here. I have a BO, "Pets" with a plain text attribute <<PetName>>.

In another BO, "PetTreatments" I have an attribute reference to this: <<PetTreated>>, (Must be specified=TRUE, Ownedby Pets.) In the form I have requested this to be a drop down, Fetch from server as user types.

The problem I have is that it seems to be case sensitive. Eg., If I have a pet called "Tim" and one called "Otto" then tapping "t" on the keyboard only populated the list with Otto wheres if I have caps lock on I only get "Tim".

I can't see any way to turn off this case sensitivity. I'm so used to visual studio and MS Access that Aware is a blessed relief but I do seem to keep missing the obvious! Thanks guys for any suggestions

What database are you connecting to? MySql is not case sensitive, while Derby is case sensitive.

Thanks for replying, I'm still pulling my hair on something so simple. I am using Aware Default database on Windows so it's not MySQL. I'm currently wondering how on earth I go about using TO_UPPER_CASE function to help. I can see how I could make a rule to force the stored value to UCase but not sure how I would get the drop down to only look for uppercase even if the user was typing in lower case. In event driven language it wouldn't be a problem but....
