Processing results from PICK FROM

Can I do this? It does not seem to work...

I issue a PICK FROM query of a BO Group, and pick a few items

Because the Group contains mixed objects, I issue a series of IF commands...

IF BOGroup.Attribute='something' then
SEND MyNotification

IF BOG.Attribute='something else' then
SEND MyOtherNotification

So I need to be able to process through the group items and take certain actions depending on what the nature of the object is. In documentation, it would seem that I can just issue one command to all selected items, like:

item.attribute='Yes'

Am I on/off track here?

Have you tried our logic outside of the group to narrow the issue to a group processing issue?

No - worth a try though. Will try it.

Yeah, not working. It seems that I can't use the IF statement and assume that all records in the Query get processes sequentially. I guess it works like a shotgun and just invokes a stated change on all records found in the query. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you tried putting the PICK FROM in 1 process, then call Process 2. Process 2 will hold the IFs. This should force processing the instances one at a time.

No joy on that. After calling the process with the IF statements, I added a DISPLAY MESSAGE command. I picked 4 objects (two each of two different types) and the Message displayed twice. I think that each time the IF statement was false, it bounced back to the calling process, but it never did fire the events. I will play some more with this concept.
