I am trying to write a process which forces a user to confirm their decision. something like the process below:

User changes SomeDate in Parent BO and hits Save
a BO rule triggers the process 'Confrim then Delete;
The process start with DISPLAY QUESTION ‘Are you sure?’

If question.reply = yes, then..

Process finds all grand children and deletes them using CLEAN
Process changes 3 values in child (triggering a related process to recreate the grand children, but using new values.)

If no, cancel process

My issues are :

I get a message saying something like 'using a process which requires user interaction is not support in this context'. So how I prompt a user to confirm they want to initiate the process?
It seems like 'ThisBO' is not resolving to a value so my query gets no results. How can I specify the BO instance which initiated the process if not by 'ThisBO'? Am I missing something obvious here?

The process that requires user interaction (the question) can NOT be started by a rule that rules on ADD or CHANGE of the BO.

That process will need to be started by click another action from a form or something.

Ok. If I follow you correctly a data change cannot start a process where the user confirms they want 'this' outcome? If so, I have a work around using a check-box + rules which is functional if not very elegant. That's too bad, I could think of many use cases for this when dealing with child and grandchild records.

Do they work with Delete rules? If so I could think of a way to do this, but might be more trouble than it is worth.

Yes

If you mean DISPLAY QUESTION, then Yes .. as long as it's not started by a rule triggered by a data change.

For part 2:

FIND Metris WHERE Metrics.ParentGoalReference=ThisGoals

Need some context to understand this .. if Goals BO is passed to a process that runs this FIND action, then THIS is not needed.

Thanks Tom, after digging around a bit I noticed that I did not have 'goals' selected in the process inputs. I must have misunderstood the documentation b/c thought the context for the invoked rule was automatic unless needed to specify another input with USING.
