Query from BO with references attribute

I'm newbie user of Aware IM and I need help.
I have BO Customer with attribute City which is reference to Cities BO. I need a query which will show the data of Customers. And there is my problem: when I create this query, in Display Query Results I don't see City attribut in Displayed Attributes table. I only see attributes from Customer BO that are not reference attribute.
How can I make this query?
Maybe some example will help me....

If Cities is a Multiple Allowed reference attribute, you will not get it to appear on a Query of Customer.

When you select one Customer, you will see the Cities as a reference item.

In some cases, you can shortcut certain Customer BO information into Cities BO, then do a query of Cities. You can then also do some grouping by Customer.

Thanks tford but I don't know what I must do.

So, I have BO Customer and BO Cities.
In BO Cities I have 2 attributes: ZipCode and CitiyName
In BO Customer I have 4 (let's say ordinary) attributes: CustomerName, TaxCode, ContactPerson, Address and 5-th is reference attribute City (I need it be reference because I don't want type some Citiy several times but only once).
What I must do that I can build query with all 5 attributes of Customers?
I hope that I don't ask to much 🙂

Is Cities a "multiple allowed" reference in Customer?

If not, you can create additional attributes in Customer of type Shortcut. One shortcut attribute per Cities attribute you want to show on query of Customer BO.

Once you create the shortcut attributes, these attributes will be selectable in a query of Customer.

No it isn't.
That proposal with Shortcut type of attribute seems to be OK.
I tray but I'm stuck 🙁
In BO Customers I tray to add City attribut type Shortcut but I got a message: "Shortcut types requires that business objects has attributes that refer to other business objects".
I read in User Guide that I must create "shortcut path" but I don't know where?

Now I have new problem with this 2 BO.
I made that City attribut on form Customers have Add new button. When I click on this button it opens form Cities and allow me to enter new City. When I finished with enetering data for a new City and click Save (Create), form City closes but on the form Customers all previously data entered for this Customer disappears. Why?
