SOAP Services

Hello everyone,

I have been trying to implement SOAP services and I am having trouble.

I am using the following URL

http://www.kirupafx.com/WebService/TopMovies.asmx?WSDL.

I create a business object "TopMoviesService" and gave it a dummy plain text attribute. When I save this business object it automatically creates a second business object "TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberParam" This has a number attribute. I created a third business object Called "TopMoviesServiceResults" This has a plain text attribute to store the results.

Here is my GetMovie process:

CREATE TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberParam  WITH TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberParam.input=1 
REQUEST SERVICE GetMovieAtNumber OF TopMoviesService USING TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberParam 
CREATE TopMoviesServiceResults WITH TopMoviesServiceResults.NameOfMovie=TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberReply.GetMovieAtNumberResult

I create a query that lists all the TopMoviesServiceResults instances and I added a button that executes the GetMovie process. I always get this error when I push the button:

Invalid service provider in the following rule: CREATE TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberParam WITH TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberParam.input=1 REQUEST SERVICE GetMovieAtNumber OF TopMoviesService USING TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberParam CREATE TopMoviesServiceResults WITH TopMoviesServiceResults.NameOfMovie=TopMoviesServiceGetMovieAtNumberReply.GetMovieAtNumberResult

Is there something that I'm missing? Anyone have a working sample bsv that has SOAP services implemented that I can try?

Your TopMoviesService object has to be intelligent with the type "System"

Yes. I set it to Type: Software System with Web Services via SOAP active and default. When I click discover it discovers all the services that the URL provides and I follow the same kind of logic that is in the youtube example posted somewhere on this forum but I still can't get it to work.

You need to create an instance of the TopMoviesService object - for example, when you initialise your system
